Why should businesses use an analytical ability test?

Our ID-Analysis test is designed to test employees’ analytical reasoning skills at a prominent level. Many full-time employees in senior professional positions, particularly analysts, require a high-level of critical thinking, logical reasoning, and analytical writing that can be difficult to gauge with just an interview.

The elevated expectations for potential employees in these jobs necessitate a rigorous selection process to ensure peak performance in the organization. The long-form answers required by the test help us to accurately relay key information about an employee’s analytical skills and aptitude in the final report.

Why choose HRID's analytical ability test?

While some analytical tests also measure non-verbal reasoning through numeric questions, our test is uniquely focused on analytical writing and reading comprehension skills.

Our analytical reasoning test goes beyond the competition by not relying on simple correct answers to multiple-choice questions – instead, we focus on the types of questions that allow for long form answers, as well as simulations that engage the participants’ inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, and reading/writing comprehension skills.

By asking the participant to write a full report within a time constraint, our test simulates a real work environment and the expectations that come along with it.

Additionally, through HRID the ID-Analysis can be combined with other tests from our site, allowing for a great degree of customization and modularity, and is also available in both English and French.

What does our analytical ability test measure?

The ID-Analysis (Ana) is a critical thinking skills aptitude test that measures a candidate’s ability to review a series of documents covering a complicated issue to analyze them and provide recommendations.

It also aims to measure the candidate’s analytical writing skills by asking them to draft a document detailing their findings and opinions clearly and logically, within 2 hours and 30 minutes. In addition, special attention is given to the ability to follow spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation rules.

What does the final report include?
